Kocahasanlı Beach
(Beachfront in Front of the Hotel)

Distance: ~100 m (2-minute drive) Fine Sand & Shallow Water Kocahasanlı Beach, which stretches right in front of the La Pigna Hotel, is one of the widest and best-maintained beaches along the Erdemli coastline. With its fine sand and gradually deepening shallow waters, it offers an ideal setting especially for families with children and those seeking a safe swimming experience.

Kumkuyu Blue Flag Beach & Marina

Distance: ~13 km (12-minute drive) Kumkuyu Beach, a recipient of the International Blue Flag award, stands out for its crystal-clear waters and high standards of service. With its spacious beach area, showers and changing rooms, and water sports facilities, it promises a comfortable day.

Limonlu Beach & Limonlu Creek Canyon

Distance: ~8 km (8-minute drive) The point where the Limonlu River flows into the Mediterranean Sea offers the best of both worlds: fresh water and saltwater. The Limonlu Canyon, located in the upper reaches of the river, is a wonderful place to cool off during the summer heat, go for a nature hike, and relax in the wooden gazebos built over the river.

Talat Göktepe Pine Forest

Distance: ~5 km (5-minute drive) This vast nature park is where centuries-old pine trees and giant eucalyptus trees meet right at the water’s edge. With walking trails where the scent of the forest blends with the sea breeze, it offers a nature therapy experience rich in oxygen.

Kayacı Valley & Lamos River

Distance: ~35 km Tucked away at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, this valley boasts lush greenery and a serene atmosphere, and the Lamos Creek flowing through it offers a refreshing respite. Kayacı Valley features hiking trails, picnic areas, and plenty of spots where you can enjoy various activities.

Caretta Caretta

The beaches of Erdemli are among the most important nesting and breeding grounds for the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) in the Mediterranean. Every year during the spring and summer months, female sea turtles come ashore and safely lay their eggs in the sand on this protected beach. To ensure that the hatchlings can safely reach the sea, civil society organizations and volunteers in the region carry out meticulous conservation efforts.

Sand Lily

The beaches of Erdemli, as one of the Mediterranean’s unique coastal ecosystems, are home to a population of the endangered sea lily (Pancratium maritimum). This endemic plant, which attracts attention with its elegant white flowers and pleasant fragrance that bloom during the summer months, is perfectly adapted to direct sunlight and salty soil. Picking the sand lily or digging up its bulbs—which play a critical role in the protection of sand dunes—is strictly prohibited and subject to heavy fines.
